聖瑪弟亞宗徒

按宗徒大事錄所載：瑪弟亞經宗徒們由聖神所選拔，以填補猶達斯之缺，而榮列十二位宗徒之一，作主復活的見證人（宗1:15-26）。相傳聖瑪弟亞在巴勒斯坦，及卡帕多細雅等地，傳揚福音；後在耶路撒冷被石頭砸死，為主殉道。

集禱經

天主，你曾召選聖瑪弟亞加入宗徒的團隊；藉他的轉求，求你使我們也歡欣接受你以慈愛所分配的，加入被選者的行列。因你的聖子、我們的主耶穌基督，他和你及聖神，是唯一天主，永生永王。亞孟。

Saint Matthias, Apostle

After the Ascension of our Lord, St. Peter proposed the disciples select an Apostle to take the office of Judas Iscariot. The choice was St. Matthias (d. 64). He worked for the faith in Palestine and was stoned to death.

Collect

O God, who assigned Saint Matthias a place in the college of Apostles, grant us, through his intercession, that, rejoicing at how your love has been allotted to us, we may merit to be numbered among the elect. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
