聖多默宗徒
聖多默宗徒，是耶穌所召叫的十二人之一。
按福音記載，當時耶穌決意為拉匝祿之死，再往猶太；門徒質疑耶穌，但多默卻說：「我們也去，同他一起死吧！」（若11:1-16）
耶穌在受難前的晚餐中，談及他去是給門徒預備地方，又問門徒是否知道去這地方的道路；多默說：「主，我們不知道你往那裡去，怎麼會知道那條路呢？」於是，耶穌回答說：「我是道路、真理、生命，除非經過我，誰也不能到父那裡去！」（若14:1-6）
當耶穌復活，顯現給門徒後，多默卻說：「我除非看見他手上的釘孔，用我的指頭，探入釘孔，讓我的手，探入他的肋膀，我決不信。」但當他看到復活的基督時，便相信了，且說：「我主！我天主！」（若20:24-29）多默宣布了教會所宣認基督復活的事實，為使不見而信的人，賴耶穌的名，獲得生命。
相傳他往東方傳教，遠至印度，且在印度為主殉道。這傳說在第三世紀時，已廣為流傳；今日，印度仍有自稱為多默基督徒的教會團體。
教會自第六世紀以來，在每年7月3日紀念他的遺骸遷葬艾代薩。
集禱經
全能的天主，在今天聖多默宗徒的慶節，求你使我們時常得到他轉求的助佑；正如他確信你的聖子耶穌基督是主，求你也使我們因著信德，賴耶穌之名，獲得生命。因你的聖子、我們的主耶穌基督，他和你及聖神，是唯一天主，永生永王。亞孟。
Saint Thomas, Apostle
Among the apostles, St. Thomas is remembered chiefly for his doubt about the Resurrection of Christ. The Sunday after the Resurrection, he made up for his unbelief with a profession of faith. “My Lord and my God!” According to tradition, he preached the Gospel as far as India, where he was martyred.
Collect
Grant, almighty God,
that we may glory in the Feast of the blessed Apostle Thomas,
so that we may always be sustained by his intercession
and, believing, may have life
in the name of Jesus Christ your Son,
whom Thomas acknowledged as the Lord.
Who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
